Excellent vibration damping and long service life
The coupling is axially embedded in two halves with serpentine spring by more than 36%. Serpentine spring with trapezoidal cross-section is made of high-quality spring steel. It is processed by strict heat treatment and undergoes special processing, and thus has good mechanical properties. As a result, the service life of the coupling is much longer than that of non-metallic elastic element couplings (such as elastic sleeve pin couplings and nylon rod pin couplings).
Wide range of bearing variable load and safe starting
The tooth surface of the two half couplings contacting with the reed is arc-shaped. When the transmission torque increases, the spring plate will deform along the tooth arc surface, making the force points of the two half couplings acting on the reed close to each other. The contact point between the reed and the tooth surface, that is, the change of torque, changes with the transmitted torque, and its transmission characteristic is variable stiffness. Therefore, it can bear more load variation than ordinary elastic couplings. The buffering effect generated when the spring is deformed along the tooth arc by the driving force, especially when the machine is started or under strong impact load, can protect the safety of the supporting parts to a certain extent.
High transmission efficiency and reliable operation
The transmission efficiency of the coupling reaches 99.47%. Its short-time overload capacity is twice the rated torque, and its operation is safe and reliable.
Low noise and good lubrication
The aluminum alloy casing protects the spring from being thrown out during operation. The casing is filled with butter, which not only ensures good lubrication, but also absorbs and eliminates the noise generating when the reed is engaged by butter damping.
Simple structure and convenient assembly and disassembly
The whole machine has few parts, small size and light weight. The fit between the spring designed in trapezoidal cross section and the trapezoidal tooth slot is particularly convenient and tight, which makes the assembly, disassembly and maintenance simpler than that of general couplings.
